		Product Code : CR31 “Happy Days are Here Again” went the most popular tune of 1930, but for most Depression-era Americans, the sentiment amounted to wishful thinking. In 1932, Herbert Hoover was defeated by Franklin Delano Roosevelt by a landslide. It quickly became apparent after this runaway victory that FDR embodied and indomitable optimism and a speaking voice which seemed tailor-made for the medium of radio.
