Frequently Asked Questions

If my turntable is not turning, how do I get it to turn?

Make sure the unit is plugged in and powered on. You must press the Start button on the front of the unit for platter to spin. You can also pick up the tone arm manually and move it over the record by pressing the Lift button. If turntable is still not spinning check the belt is installed properly. If this does not help, please contact us at 1-866-CROSLEY or click here to submit support request.

The record is playing, but I get no sound.

This unit does not have internal speakers, external speakers will need to be installed. Make sure to remove the white protective needle cover from the end of the tone arm. Make sure the red or white plastic needle was not removed when the protective cover was taken off. Adjust the volume to a higher level on your external speakers. Make sure your external speakers are hooked up properly. If this doesn't help, please contact us at 1-866-CROSLEY or click here to submit support request.

My unit powers off if I don't use it for a few minutes. Why does that happen?

To help save power consumption, some models will comply with ERP energy saving standard. When there is no audio input for 20 minutes, the power will automatically cut-off. To turn power back on and resume playing, turn off the power and turn it on again.

What is the Size Selector switch used for?

The tone arm on this unit is automatic. The size selector helps the tone arm automatically drop down at correct location depending on the size records.

Can I connect third party external speakers to this unit?

This turntable can be hooked up to external speakers with the RCA jacks on the back. If using as a Line output (determined by the phono/line switch on back of unit) you can use these jacks to hook it into self-powered/active speakers. If using as a Phono output unit will need to be connected first to a phono pre-amp or the phono input of the stereo system. If your receiver has an “AUX input” it will connect to Line output or “Phono input” it will connect to Phono output.

Why does the needle slide across the record?

Make sure to remove the white protective needle cover from the end of the tone arm. Make sure the red or white plastic needle was not removed when the protective cover was taken off. If this doesn't help, please contact us at 1-866-CROSLEY or click here to submit support request.

This radio product is manufactured in China.

My 45 records will not play all the way through, it turns off before record is over.

The older style 45 records play longer than newer 45 records. The newer records appear to be what this unit was tested with when the tone arm settings were set. To bypass this you will need to manually place the tone arm onto the record. When you do this, the tone arm will not pick up until you press the stop button or pick the tone arm up.

The attraction is only natural.
